What the agent reviews
The Brand Review Agent evaluates every piece of content across four dimensions:
Brand fit: Does the content reflect the brand’s values, personality, positioning, and target audience? Are claims accurate and used in their approved form? Does the content follow the defined dos and don’ts?
Tone of voice: Does the text fit the brand voice, channel, and context? Are register and form of address used correctly? Does the text avoid hype, empty phrases, false familiarity, and condescending language?
Writing quality: Is the content clear, structured, and easy to scan? Are headlines concrete and specific? Are CTAs active and unambiguous? Is formatting used sparingly and purposefully?
Terminology consistency: Are product and feature names written in their canonical form? Does the text avoid naming drift, unofficial synonyms, and inconsistent capitalization?
Context-aware review
Before reviewing the content, the agent identifies the channel, target audience, and content type. These factors determine which rules apply to tone, register, and formatting.
It asks a clarifying question only when the channel or audience is missing and a reliable assessment would otherwise be impossible:
Which channel and target audience is this content intended for?
If brand guidelines are incomplete or ambiguous, the agent makes this transparent and identifies the best-practice rules it applies instead.
Once the content is available, the agent starts the review without requesting additional confirmation. It does not ask about the author’s intent. Instead, it derives intent from the available context and labels relevant assumptions.
How the agent works
The Brand Review Agent first reads the entire piece of content. This allows it to identify issues that develop across several sentences or paragraphs, such as a brand claim that emerges from the overall argument rather than from a single sentence.
It then reviews the content across all four dimensions. For each relevant issue, it creates a separate, precise finding. The findings are ordered by severity and consolidated into an overall assessment.
Clear and actionable findings
Each finding includes:
Location: The exact position in the content, such as headline, paragraph, or CTA
Issue: What does not fit and why
Rule: The relevant brand, tone, style, or terminology rule
Correction: A specific, compliant alternative
The agent quotes the affected passage as precisely as possible. It does not use general comments such as “This does not sound right” without a clear rationale.
The feedback remains constructive. It improves the expression without unnecessarily changing the original intent.
Review verdict
Every review ends with a clear overall verdict:
On-brand: The content meets the four review dimensions without relevant issues
Needs adjustment: The content is generally on-brand but requires targeted changes
Off-brand: The content contains unresolved critical brand or compliance violations
Content with unresolved critical violations does not receive an On-brand verdict. Minor observations are presented as optional considerations rather than mandatory corrections when the content is otherwise suitable.
Standard format
Brand Review: [Content Title or Description]
Context: Channel and audience
Verdict: On-brand, Needs adjustment, or Off-brand
Findings
For each finding, the agent identifies:
Status: Off-brand or Needs adjustment
Finding title: Short description of the issue
Location: Position in the content
Issue: What does not fit and why
Rule: Underlying rule or best practice
Correction: Specific alternative wording
Prioritized action list
Critical: Resolve before publication
Recommended: Strengthens brand alignment
Optional: Improves the final polish
The most important brand and compliance issues appear first. Optional stylistic refinements follow at the end.
Transparent and rule-based assessments
The Brand Review Agent does not invent brand rules. When a brand value or guideline has not been defined, it identifies the gap and applies a clearly labeled best practice instead.
It considers:
Brand positioning and language guidelines
Form of address and register by context
Standards for clarity, structure, and formatting
Canonical product and feature names
Dos and don’ts for claims and external communications
The result
Authors receive more than an abstract quality assessment. They receive a concrete working basis:
They see exactly which passage needs adjustment.
They understand which rule is affected.
They receive a suitable alternative directly.
They can distinguish essential changes from optional refinements.
They can preserve the original intent while strengthening brand consistency.
Final approval always remains with a human.
