Phase 1: Idea and AI Lab

The starting point was an internal brainstorming session on AI assistants, prompts, and initial use cases. From this emerged the AI Lab - a space for experimentation, exchange, and learning.

Phase 2: Security and Internal Knowledge (RAG)

In parallel, the project team developed an AI policy, defined clear rules, and conducted a tender process for a secure AI platform.

The reasons

Phase 3: Launch & Initial Experiences

Before the rollout began, all employees completed AI training covering fundamentals, data protection, and safe usage.

The rollout itself kicked off with two large AI Days in Cologne and Düsseldorf:
