What the agent delivers
For each company, the agent creates a concise account briefing with the most relevant information:
Company profile: Industry, size, business model, corporate structure, relevant subsidiaries or parent company, and region
Key contacts: Decision-makers and stakeholders, their roles, and known reporting lines
Recent signals: News, funding rounds, leadership changes, product launches, expansions, restructurings, and other developments from the past twelve months
Likely pain points: Plausible challenges inferred from the industry, company size, known priorities, and recent signals
Conversation preparation: Three to five talking points, one specific opening hook tied to a recent signal, and three to five discovery questions
How the agent works
The Account Research Agent starts with the knowledge already available. It reviews attached account information, CRM context, and previous conversation notes before searching external sources.
It then fills relevant information gaps. The agent prioritizes company sources such as the organization’s website, annual reports, regulatory filings, and press releases. Reliable secondary sources provide additional context.
The agent does not simply summarize the research. It structures and assesses the information so a rep can absorb the briefing in around two minutes.
Verified facts and clear hypotheses
Every statement remains traceable. The agent separates verified facts from its own conclusions and clearly labels interpretations.
It treats pain points as conversation hypotheses by default. Instead of presenting challenges as established facts, it frames them as possible topics for discovery:
The company may be facing challenge X because signals Y and Z point in that direction.
Sources and publication dates are included. Potentially outdated information is flagged. When sources conflict, the agent makes the discrepancy visible instead of silently favoring one source.
Who the agent is designed for
The Account Research Agent supports teams preparing multiple customer and sales conversations in parallel:
Sales reps preparing for first meetings, renewal conversations, or important follow-ups
Customer Success Managers preparing for QBRs, expansion conversations, and strategic customer meetings
Teams that need to understand relevant company context quickly and bring it into conversations with purpose
The result
Reps enter conversations prepared, understand the most important developments in the account, and have a concrete way to start the discussion.
The agent handles the research so teams can spend more time building the relationship and having the conversation.
